Pool Leaks Can Be Pesky
But We Can Help..

A pool leak in your swimming pool can be bothersome and disheartening.  Constantly filling your pool with fresh water can cost you money in different directions, not to mention adding to your chemical bill while struggling to keep it from turning colors.

Our team is ready to help you determine if your actually leaking first as well offering our leak detection services.  We have different methods available for most leak situations.  Our leak technicians are trained to understand how leaks in a pool work always with pinpoint precision.  After all we always say "finding a leak is like a needle in a haystack" but with our training and tools we can usually locate the leak within the first visit.

There is a method to our madness as they say but what is most important is determining if your truly leaking.  Always remember an average 15 x 30 pool will lose 3/4 in of water per week to normal evaporation. Here is a good way to determine if your leaking.

How to perform a bucket test:
  1. Have your pool filled to its standard level. Using a 5 gallon bucket, fill it 1 inch from the top with pool water. If you are performing this on a commercial pool, turn any autofill valve off and close access to the pool. Homeowners also need to check if they have an auto-fill device and turn it off.
  2. Immerse the bucket in the pool to about 5 inches. Setting it on the first or second step of your pool should suffice.
  3. Mark the water level inside the bucket and the water level outside the bucket.
  4. Come back in 24 hours to compare the inside water level to the outside water level. If the water level outside the bucket has dropped more than the water level inside the bucket, you likely have a pool leak and need to call a professional.

Make a note to check the bucket at exactly the 24 hour mark, as waiting longer than this can give inaccurate results. If it rains you will have to wait and start over when there is a clear forecast. After the test you can give us a call and tell us your results.  We can then schedule for the leak discovery.

Please note the leak detection/discovery fee is separate from the repair.  We will furnish an estimate to repair the leak and give you a detailed report of our findings.
